Airborne for Melbourne

A World Tour is always a top item in my List of Things to Do and the item has many bulleted points like Europe, Switzerland, US and so on.
Recently a friend of mine made an Australia visit and that added Australia to the list too ... in fact ... Australia got added at the top (alphabetically arranged list that is)
So here is my dream journey to Melbourne … a dream expressed through pictures that I found through Google Search and http://www.visitmelbourne.com/in which provides all the info you may need for a visit to Melbourne. There is a wealth of info out there on those sites which will convince you to make a trip to Australia but I believe the pictures speak a million words so here I go …
The pictures here belong to the entire plethora of activities, places to visit, things to do etc and will give you an idea of the range of possibilities that Melbourne offers.

Someday the pictures I post will be clicked by my own camera and I will have tons of memories and stories to share related to each and every one of the hundreds of pics that I will click during my trip.
How I wish the trip happens soon enough ………while my inner voice screams with delight …………  ‘It's your time to visit Melbourne NOW!’
To sum up the Melbourne experience ... here is something interesting ...

Love in Arranged Marriage

This was just one of the thoughts that came to my mind when my parents started talking about my marriage. I had been through the rigors of a marriage in my family … with an elder brother and sister ... but when it came to my turn, I felt completely unprepared.
With most people joking about Marriage being a bitter-sweet laddoo; one which you repent of you eat and repent if you don't; I was completely confused whether I should look forward to it or get scared.

I had seen many a debates between my college friends about Love and Arranged marriage (I being a silent spectator) with my own group equally divided with the stability and certainty of the arranged marriage and the excitement and adventure of the love marriage. During these discussions, I particularly remember one of our silent friends who would take a neutral stand about marriage saying that it hardly mattered how the marriage happened. Whether love or arranged was immaterial. What really matters is what comes after marriage. She often said something on the following lines…

My own experience of an arranged marriage is that my parents have found true love for me. The arranged marriage concept has worked well for me. In my hubby, I have found someone who is a pillar of stability, strength, understanding and immense amount of love. I often thank my parents for arranging my marriage with a person whom I love more than anyone else now.
I have wanted to write about this since a long time but somehow never did. The Indiblogger.in contest for Sony Channel's new serial "Love Marriage ya Arranged marriage" gave me a chance to write about it. Check out the serial's FB page at www.facebook.com/LoveYaArrange

Summer Adventure in Thailand

I have been using sun-screen lotions and similar products for years … have tried several brands including Nivea, Lotus etc.

This summer when my hubby told me about a week long trip to Thailand to celebrate our second marriage anniversary; I was overjoyed at the thought but then immediately the fact that it was almost peak summer (month of May) reminded me of my summer adventure last year when I went parasailing and got back home all tanned.

Of course, sun screen lotions are there but they weren’t as effective as I thought them to be. Also, I needed something small and portable to carry on this trip. This is when the small Lakme Sun Expert caught my eye and I picked it up. It was ideal for carrying around in my purse on the trip.

During my Thailand trip, we spent considerable time out in the sun and my hat and Lakme Sun Expert were the only protection for my skin. It was summer in Thailand at this time and the temperatures were around 35 degrees with a pretty harsh sun. We visit to the Noong Nooch Village and went Parasailing and Jet Ski riding near Coral Island in Pattaya. We visited the Buddhist Temples (called Wat’s) and Marine Safari World in Bangkok (not to forget shopping).

All this would have taken its toll on my sensitive skin if not for Lakme Sun Expert and of course my hat. Guess, I am a convert now. The product is good and the convenience of the small bottle that easily fits the smallest purse I have, is a great boon for me. It is now a permanent inclusion in my purse contents.

Let me post some pictures of the trip … which show the total fun in the sun ...
